I feel like Arjuna sometimes because I just don´t feel motivated to do tasks sometimes. Most commonly homework even though I know I need to do it. Now that I look back I see that it happens almost everyday, but with different situations
I could apply the message of Bhagavad Gita because as much as I really don´t want to do my homework, it usually turns out that I should do it because it helps me prepare for tests or activities in class the next day. This shows that hard work usually has a positive outcome.
The Indian viewpoint of the Bhagavad Gita is very different than the American viewpoint because people in India believe in reincarnation. This means that they believe if when someone dies they come back, and American just believe we only have one life.
The Bhagavad Gita could be used as a tool of oppression because it could only be true to a certain amount of people. For example only wealthy men could have unlimited lives. This would start a war within India for equality.
Today I decided to Feng Shui my bathroom counter because I always feel that its cluttered and people in my house take stuff and don´t put it away. My new arrangement honors Chi because now when I go into my bathroom in the morning I feel a sense of spaciousness, and there isn´t a tone of stuff on the counter. My counter honors the elements like wood, metal, water and earth. This allows he room to have a sense of each of these elements, it gives off a sense of relaxation and Independence in my own bathroom. Also, it honors Bagua because I think that my bathroom gives of Compassion, and it strengthens personality with the white and gray colors. Now that my counter is cleaned up I feel that it just opens my bathroom up so much more. It gives me a little freedom, especially in the morning getting ready for school.
